- Who does Major Finance work with?
- We work with W-2 employees, 1099 contractors, self-employed professionals, small business owners, and non-W2 filers. If you receive income from any source, we can prepare your return.
- How does the process work?
- Start with a free consultation by phone or contact form. We review your situation, request your documents, prepare your return, walk you through it line by line, and e-file with direct deposit.
- What documents do I need to bring?
- Typically: photo ID, Social Security cards or ITINs for you and your dependents, all W-2s and 1099s, prior year return, plus records of deductible expenses (mileage, home office, healthcare, education, retirement). We'll send a full checklist tailored to your situation.
- Can you file back-year or amended returns?
- Yes. We routinely file prior-year returns and amend returns that were filed incorrectly. It's safer to file late than not to file at all — we can help you get current.
- I don't have all my records — can you still help?
- Absolutely. Our bookkeeping reconstruction service rebuilds income and expense records from bank and credit card statements, so we can file an accurate return even when paperwork is missing.
- What if I get audited?
- Every return we prepare is built on documentation. If the IRS sends a notice, we help you understand it and respond with the records we already organized.
- How much does it cost?
- Pricing depends on the complexity of your return. We quote up front during your free consultation — no surprise fees.
- Do you offer year-round support?
- Yes. We're available for quarterly estimated taxes, life-change planning, IRS notices, and bookkeeping all year — not just January through April.
